WORLD WATER DAY - 22 March
We recently celebrated WORLD WATER DAY. It is worth emphasizing that STAINLESS STEEL plays a huge role in the management of water resources - in its distribution or purification.
It is estimated that on average in Europe almost a quarter of drinking water is lost during its transmission through leaky, corroded water pipes. In many cities around the world, where old, rusting water systems have been replaced with stainless steel pipes, the problem of water leaks has been reduced and water quality has improved thanks to the higher sanitary standards guaranteed by this material. The most reliable and economical water distribution systems are those that use stainless steel installations.
Stainless steel is also irreplaceable in wastewater treatment plants, where all installations must meet high requirements in terms of resistance to substances used for wastewater treatment and contact with the wastewater itself.
